Specialists of Onliner.by information portal tested some winter tyres digitizing the acoustic parameters. They measured with approved devices the noise level of the tyres at speeds of 50, 60, 90 and 120 km/h. Six tyres of various brands were tested. The acoustic measurement was carried out in Belarus at the Republican mobile machinery testing ground, where any other vehicles you can hardly see. The special route is located far from the Minsk Beltway (MKAD), so the affect of unwanted sounds was practically excluded. The tyres were tested for three days under the same weather conditions: wind strength was no more than 1-3 meters per second and there was no rain or snow.
