The Russian stage of the Red Bull Air Race World Championship ended in the capital of Tatarstan. Viatti was the national partner of the Air Race World Championship. The Japanese pilot Yoshihide Muroya became the triumphant of the competition. He was the first to go through the track and showed the best result – 1.03.496 minutes. Australian Matt Hall finished second (1.03.681 min.), while the Czech pilot Sonka (1.04.238 min) ranked third. Two more stages of the Red Bull Air Race lie ahead of the pilots during this season.
So, the next race will be premiered on Lake Balaton in Hungary from July 13–14, and the Championship final stage will take place in Chiba, Japan on September 7–8. “The Red Bull Air Race competition is one of the major events in aviation sports. The best sportsmen from all over the world compete in speed and skill of air piloting here. This year the races were especially spectacular and memorable,” said Andrey Bouton, Acting CEO at Kama Trading House.“Thanks to Kazan, it’s a great pleasure to fly here. When I first saw the track, still on paper, I thought: “It will be difficult”. I had to train independently and make significant efforts, because the rivals are very strong,” wrote Florian Berger, the winner of the Kazan stage of the Red Bull Air Race in the Challenger class.“It was a tough race, I literally won one-tenth of a second. In the round of 14, I competed with Mika Brageot, who started well. When I got to the track, the wind changed to easterly. But by the final four I felt confident and successfully completed the race,” said Yoshihide Muroya, the winner of the Kazan stage of the Red Bull Air Race. Competitions are held under the auspices of the World Air Sports federation (FAI). With the introduction of the Red Bull Air Race, a new sport discipline has emerged – air slalom – a dynamic type of piloting, the purpose of which is to complete a difficult air route with obstacles in minimal time.
